Every shop is different, but your auto repair business problems are not. So, keep that in mind as you read on.

Our West Coast shop is in Northern California. They came to us for help boosting their profits because they lost up to $500 weekly. Upon looking at their business, we found that their car count numbers were in the target range, but they needed little tweaks here and there.

Over several months, we helped them improve their tech productivity by 6%, gross profits by 10%, and net profits by 6%. Although we didn’t make big sweeping changes, this shop went from losing money to a net weekly profit increase of $2,600. Their ROI ended up being 6x.

Our Southwest shop sits in Albuquerque, New Mexico. When we first learned about their shop, we found that they had good processes and techs ready to take on more work. We gradually made changes over several years, resulting in a 24% boost in tech productivity.

With the techs working at their best, the shop saw a 9% increase in labor gross profits. The service advisors put their all into creating better estimates, improving their closing ratio, and boosting customer loyalty for an ARO increase of $290 per ticket. A $25,000 weekly revenue increase followed, resulting in $7,000 more weekly net profit. Their ROI is a stunning 20x.

Our Mid-West shop is located in South Texas and had a healthy car count from the beginning. What they needed to do was add digital vehicle inspections to their workflows and improve their other processes. As a result of those changes, they saw a 19% increase in tech productivity and an ARO boost of $183 per ticket.

After several months of coaching, their parts gross profit increased by 7%, and labor gross profits jumped by 18%. All that added up to a weekly revenue increase of $7,100. Net profits per week improved as well, to the tune of about $3,500. Their ROI landed at 4x.

Our East Coast shop is in the Maine/Connecticut area. We instantly noticed their car count could improve but decided to get all the other areas sorted first. So, we worked on enhancing parts’ gross profits by 15%, labor gross profits by 11%, and tech productivity by 9%.

Within several months, they saw a $2,200 net profit increase weekly. Their ARO jumped by $51, too, setting the stage for excellent results when they turn up the marketing for higher car counts. Their ROI was nearly 8x.
