I’m a shop manager and owner plus a business coach and consultant whoknows how to navigate through the daily challenges of the automotive repairindustry efficiently and effectively. All while being able to be a husband, father,baseball coach, and volunteer director. I love my family and my community andI feel there is a way to manage both a productive work life and an awesome homelife.

I started working at my family’s auto repair shop at the age of 16. I was mopping floors and dumping oil buckets, then worked as a general tech, senior tech, and moved from service writer to service manager. Over the years as a service advisor, I have trained with ATI, Elite Worldwide, Chris Cotton and AutoFix Auto Shop Coaching, and ASTE training courses. I’ve also studied Business at our local universities PJC and Columbia Southern University. I have participated in round tables with Jasper Engines and Transmissions and worked with the local technical college to train up and coming service writers and techs in the industry. I currently hold multiple ASE certifications including Service Consultant, Light Maintenance, Engine Repair, A/C, Brakes, Suspension, Electrical, and Engine Performance. I believe in training and continually work on expanding my knowledge in our industry. Doing all this helps me guide our business in an efficient and modern way.

My shop has gone from a typical mom and pop operation that struggled with how much to charge for our services, how to pay good technicians, how to keep good technicians, not having standards or procedures and less than a million in sales to a top-tier shop. Now we are currently operating with four Master Technicians and two general technicians who have been with us for years. We charge correctly based on our shop’s needs. Our average repair order is over $1,000 while still performing oil changes and tires. Projected sales for the 2023 year are at or above 3 million dollars. We are able to offer full benefit packages to our employees, cook on Fridays, and we were able to take off 17 paid holiday days last year, not including vacations! I believe there is a way to do this job with integrity and honesty and make a good living. All while being able to go home when the shop closes and be with your families. I implemented a tire program from scratch and developed it into a highly profitable addition to our business. I’ve negotiated a bulk oil deal making our oil changes profitable while still providing top quality products.
